Animals Tapestry and Wall Hanging "The original
of this striking tapestry is on exhibit at the Museum in Basel, Switzerland.
Vibrant in color, the tapestry depicts four animals: Boar, Lion, Unicorn
and Stag. The religious themed banners inscribed in Olde German say "Elig
bringt Himmels lon" (Pain brings the reward of heaven), "Got mus al gesharffen
hahn" (God must have created all), "Des loven ine Sin trinitat" (Therefore
his trinity praises him). In an early Medieval style, each animal's skin
uses differently woven patterns to give each animal their distinctive
